Ron has been with Gleason Paints for more than 30 years after pursuing his education in chemical engineering. He’s proud to run a store with a friendly environment where truly everyone knows your name.
Ron’s background in engineering drives his desire to always be at the forefront of products and innovations in the paint industry. “It’s all about saving our customers time and money,” he said. Ron prides himself and his team on their customer service.
Stelios Giannopoulos Store Manager
Some of Stelios’ earliest memories are from working at his father’s paint store on the weekends. Gifted with an early start, he built a passion for the paint industry, the day to day operations of his store and growing his business and his customers’ business.
When not working with his team at the store Stelios enjoys spending time with his family and traveling.
Rolando Color Consultant
Having worked at multiple Benjamin Moore stores, Rolando is prepared with the skills and experience to assist his customers in any way with their project. Rolando’s hobbies include cord cutting, watching superhero movies, and spending time with his family.
Tony Andrade Store Manager
Marcos Antonio “Tony” Andrade came to America at 18-years-old from a small coastal town in Ecuador to begin his work in the paint industry. From these humble beginnings, he spent over a decade at our Roslyn Heights location before he became the first manager at our Astoria location when it opened its doors in 2005.
Having lost his father at a very young age, Tony quickly found a new home as part of Paint Place NY. A native speaker of Spanish he has added Greek as well to make our Greek customers feel at home. “Organization and order makes a difference in what I do and my team is my greatest strength at making everything we do possible,” Tony said.
“If I were to describe our store with one word, it would be ‘family’.”
Peter Ha Store Manager
Peter’s been in the paint industry for over 20 years and enjoys the unique projects and problems his customer bring to the store every day. “Bayside customers are very unique and friendly,” he said. In his spare time Peter enjoys going to the beach and fishing with his kids.
John Mantagas Store Manager
You could literally say that paint is in John’s blood as the son of a painter and with three brothers all in the painting industry. John got his first start at a paint store at age 15. After more than twenty years in sales, John came to work for Paint Place NY and loves bringing personalized service to our customers.
Jackie has more than 30 years of experience as a design consultant specializing in wallpaper, window treatments, color selection, and home fashion accessories. “I love working with my customers to find the perfect fabric or wallpaper for their home,” Jackie said.
Ellen originally trained as an illustrator at Parsons School of Design. She soon found a love for decorating homes and has done that for more than 15 years. “I love working with our staff of paint experts and bringing our customers’ ideas to life,” Ellen said.
John Papaioannou Store Manager
John has been managing The Paint Place at Williston Park for over 10 years after getting started in the paint industry in 1994. With an educational background in computer science and project management from NYIT, John brings a high degree of knowledge to your projects now as well as to his store.
“My favorite part of our store is our customers, they make you feel like family,” John said. He and his staff strive to make their customers feel the same way – part of the Paint Place NY family!
When not at the store John loves baking sweets and crazy cakes. He also enjoys Greek dancing.
Bhabie has been working in design for over 15 years and specializes in residential interiors, paint and color selection, wallpaper, window treatments, and fabrics.
“I love transforming and creating beautiful looks with a perspective that uniquely reflects the personality and desire of my clients,” Bhabie said. Marvin Gonzalez Store Manager
Marvin is a Salvadorean native who came to New York in 1990. With his more than 25 years of experience at Willis, he brings a drive to always stay up to date in the ever-changing paint industry. “No matter what, I always find time for anybody who needs me,” Marvin said. Whether that’s a customer, a member of his fantastic team or his family — Marvin is there to help.
Harri Assistant Manager
When asked about his nearly 20 years with Paint Place NY and Willis Paint Harry said, “I love to work here because of the owner and my fellow co-workers who are like my family.” Harry loves how his team goes above and beyond for his customers. He believes his love for meeting new people helps deliver the customer service our customers come back to his store for again and again.
Anita loves accessorizing rooms and has taken her more than 20 years at Paint Place NY to create the individualized looks that give a room a special and finished look. She began her career in decorating after attending The New York School for Interior Design and currently specializes in residential interiors. Whether it’s furniture or fabrics, window treatments or her beloved accessories, she brings her years at shows, buying, and selling home fashions products to help make your next project a success.
Bobbie’s specialty is color consulting and wallpaper choices to coordinate with current designs. Wallpaper is not just for grandma’s house anymore and Bobby loves working with clients to make their designs pop with wallpaper and color. With more than 20 years at Willis she brings a tremendous amount of color and wallpaper expertise to our in-home services.
Gail has been with us at Willis for more than 20 years and in the interior design industry for over 30 years. Her expertise is creating customized window treatments. Gail can help with space planning, furniture placement, and upholstery projects. From wall treatments to window treatments, Gail can help inspire you and create the look you are envisioning.
In her spare time, Gail likes golfing with her husband and spending time with family, especially her little granddaughter.
Jill is a long-time member of our winning window treatment team. She enjoys designing and creating custom window treatments and draperies. When designing a room, Jill believes the most important factor is the light of the room and considering the needs of each individual client. Her love of travel has given her inspiration when designing.
Steve has had a diverse amount of experience in the design industry, from having his own interior design business to bringing his design eye to two high-end furniture shops. “I’m a visual person and avid reader who bring clients the full gamut of design to create unique and amazing spaces,” Steve said. In our Willis Design Center, he brings his creativity and imagination to our clients. You can find Steve with a stack of design magazines or visiting the D&D Building in NYC to keep up to date with the latest trends. “I want my clients to have the best of what they like and, ultimately, sometimes some of what I might suggest!”
Chris Selearis Store Manager
The paint industry has been Chris’ life from starting part-time at 14-years-old at our Woodside location to his current position as manager at Paints By George for over 10 years. “Working in several different locations has shown me how each neighborhood is different with different needs we need to meet,” Chris said.
Having jobs from stockboy to sales, and now manager, Chris has seen all facets of the business and brings more than three decades of industry knowledge to his team. Chris loves the fast-paced environment of the business and the versatility needed to help serve the diverse needs of our customers.
